Troubleshooting
Fix common Olgax DXP problems - a stale page editor, a busy port, missing homepage, login issues, failed installs and Windows quirks.
The editor looks stale or a block has no styles
Puck reads its config once when it mounts, and the dev server can hold on to stale build output. Stop the dev server,
delete the .next folder, start it again and hard-refresh the browser.
# stop pnpm dev first
rm -rf .next # Windows PowerShell: Remove-Item -Recurse -Force .next
pnpm devPort 3000 is already in use
pnpm dev -p 3001Only one dev server can run per project at a time.
"This site doesn't have a homepage yet"
The homepage is the published page with the slug home. Run pnpm seed, or sign in and create and publish that page.
I cannot sign in
- On a fresh project, use the seeded
[email protected]andChangeMe123!, after runningpnpm seed. - If you changed
PAYLOAD_SECRET, existing sessions stop working. Sign in again. - A deleted
payload.dbmeans a new empty database. Runpnpm seedagain.
pnpm seed or the CLI failed
- Check Node with
node -v. Olgax DXP needs 20.9 or newer. - Check pnpm with
pnpm -v. If it is missing, install it from pnpm.io. - If
npx create-olgax-siteruns an older version than expected, request the latest explicitly:
npx create-olgax-site@latest my-siteA new block does not appear
Make sure components/blocks/index.ts includes an entry for it in the blocks object. If you made the block by hand,
add the import and the entry yourself. If it is there and the editor is stale, see the first item on this page.
A saved page lost a block or field
Saved pages store blocks by their key in components/blocks/index.ts. Renaming a key orphans existing uses. Rename it
back, or migrate the data.
